Pride Paint Swatch - Short Sleeve T-Shirt

This 6-colour Pride Flag is one of the most well-known and used LGBTQIA+ flags throughout history. This flag includes the colours, red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, and violet on it.

The original 1977 flag included both hot pink and turquoise. These were both dropped in later years. Hot pink was removed simply due to supply issue as the fabric was hard to find as the demand of the flag started to rise after the assassination of gay San Francisco City Supervisor, Harvey Milk on November 27, 1978.

Turquoise, on the other hand, was removed in 1979 when Gilbert Baker was aiming to decorate the street lamps along the parade route with hundreds of the rainbow banners. It was decided that turquoise would be removed so that there were an even number of stripes flanking each lamp pole.
